This will be the 16t:th edition of our brazilian jiu-jitsu event and the 21:st edition of the JJIF Fighting event!!

HEALTH DECLARATION

All fighters, all ages must download and fill out the HEALTH DECLARATION FORM

Health declaration:
The Swedish Martial Arts Federation removed the health inspection by a nurse or doctor on the 29th of September. The health declaration still needs to be filled out and shown to our doctor and staff by the information desk. When you are approved and checked in your are allowed to enter the competition area.

ARENA

– The competition is held in Skuruhallen, Skuru Skolväg 2, 131 47 Nacka.
– The entrance fee for spectators is 75 kr per day. Spectator tickets needs to be pre-purchased!
– Spectators are only allowed on floor 2 (up the stairs)
– All athletes can use Nacka Dojos academy as warm up area.
– The academy is just across the street from the venue and the sauna will be warm from 09.00
– Parking your car is only allowed on designated parking spots. You can use the school yard, there is also a big free parking in Ektorp Centrum only three minutes from the arena. Please respect the parking rules!

Foodtrucks and shop
We will have food trucks outside the arena just as previous years and in our café at Nacka Dojo academy we have acai and other snacks. We will accept credit cards in all areas through Izettle.

Accomodation
Those of you that have booked overnight stay in the school located on the competition area need to arrive before 20.00 on Friday or Saturday. If you arrive later you will need to have someone to call inside of the school. Its not allowed to arrive after 22.00.

SMOOTHCOMP ID

To make the check and weigh-in smooth we are using Smoothcomps new feature, Smoothcomp ID. If you have a Smoothcomp account you also have a digital profile with a QR and barcode that you will show to our staff so we can scan you fast and get you checked in.

Please make sure to be logged in to Smoothcomp.com/ID when you arrive to the arena and show this to our crew when asked.

Some of the blackbelt profiles for Men:

Max Lindblad, Swedens strongman from [Stark IF] with numerous medals from an international level is back again on our mats. Max competed in his first Nordic in 2016 and since then he has been coming back each year and never lost a single fight!

Fredrik Widgren, [Nacka Dojos] world champion in JJIF Fighting in 2018 and blackbelt in jiu-jitsu for some years now. Fredriks physique and his all-around skills is a challenge for anyone but will it be enough against the specialist?

Joshua Mańczak, now training and competing for [Stark IF] makes his blackbelt debut at Nordic Open. Joshua competed as a purple belt at Nordic the first time and lost only to Tarik Hopstock in the open weight. Joshua a very accomplished grappler in both gi and nogi will definitely be one of the top players.

Max Hederström, [Gladius MMA] is the fighter pilot that never back down from a fight. Max has competed for many years and is Swedish Champion several times in both jiu-jitsu and submission wrestling. He competed in Nordic in 2016 and won gold and has since then come back for many more golds.

Honourably mention (will compete in Master Open now)
Mikael Marffy, one of Sweden most accomplished fighters with 35 golds from the Swedish Championships in Judo, Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling.

Female profiles:

Louise Sondlo, [Viva Zapatas] strong woman has won most things here in Sweden and abroad is now looking for another gold in the combined brown/black division.

Astrid Schölin [Stark IF] have 55 wins on Smoothcomp and started competing in 2015 in ne-waza at Nordic JJ Cup! Astrid is Nordic Open, Swedish Open and Swedish Championships champion!

Linn Hansson [Team Gringo] has been competing for many years, in 2015 she stepped on the Nordics mats for the first time and has been showing good results each time and is now back for more.

WEIGH-INS

When you see your name on the TV screens that says ”current matches” you should go to the bullpen/waiting area and be ready to weigh-in. Please use your smartphone and go to Smoothcomp.com/ID and show this to our staff when requested.

All juvenile, adult and master fighters must show a valid ID in order to compete. If you dont make weight you will immediately get disqualified. No refunds are offered.

If you log in to your account you will see live updates of your next fight in the top menu. Coaches can search for their fighters matches and easily coach without missing anything. Go here to find all matches during the event.

COACHES

All academies get free entrance for 2 coaches and only those coaches will have access to the coaches area by mat E, F, G, H. You need to register for a coach credential with a Smoothcomp account before Friday at 23:59. After this date we don’t accept any more coaches.

Coaches for the youngest kids (4-5 and 6-7 years) on Sundays event
We will allow coaches or parents inside of the competition area if you have kids in the 4-5 and 6-7 years categories that needs a helping hand to the mat. It is not allowed to coach from the chair. If you don’t follow our rules and starts talking/coaching we will have to ask you to leave your chair during the fight.

Coaching in general:
We ask you to treat referees, other fighters and crew with the same respect that you want for yourself. We have zero tolerance for bad language or offensive coaching and we will call the head referee and event management and ask them to remove anyone that don’t follow the rules.
